The Human Toll of Financial Crime: The Role We All Play

January 21, 1:00 pm EST

We all have a role to play in preventing financial crime. As Financial Crime professionals, we are in a critical position to prevent human suffering and hinder a criminal’s ability to benefit from their crimes by detecting and reporting any suspicious accounts and transactions.

If you see something unusual or if something doesn’t feel right, trust your intuition. Why? Because if something is wrong, you just might stop human suffering.

Are you armed with the knowledge you need to identify common behaviors associated with human crimes or want to explore how fraud and AML teams can work together to stop human trafficking, child exploitation, elder abuse, and more?

Join us for an expert panel discussion exploring the human toll of financial crime and your role in the fight against these crimes.

Agenda:

  • What are human exploitation crimes and some common misconceptions about them?
  • What financial behaviors and red flags are associated with human exploitation crimes? What trends are law enforcement officers seeing?
  • How can FIs help in the fight against human trafficking, child exploitation, and elder abuse?
  • What can FIs do to impede criminal efforts?
